+86 18968869621 Summary of Purchaser Growth and Lighting Fixture Category Trends at the 2025 Autumn Canton Fair
In the autumn of 2025, the scale of buyers at the Canton Fair achieved a significant increase, becoming a key highlight of this exhibition. As of October 19th, the cumulative number of overseas buyers attending the event offline reached 157,946, covering 222 countries and regions around the world. This represents a 6.3% increase compared to the previous period, highlighting the global appeal of the Canton Fair and the market popularity of China's supply chain. Additionally, in the pre-event period (up to October 9th), the pre-registered buyers from 217 export markets exceeded 207,000, with a 14.1% increase compared to the previous period, laying a foundation for the active trade and business connections at the exhibition.
Although there are no direct statistics on the number of lighting fixture purchasers, by combining the overall trend and the on-site situation, it can be clearly inferred that the number of purchasers for this category has also increased simultaneously. The main reasons are as follows:
On one hand, the overall growth of purchasers provides a macroscopic basis. Lighting fixtures are a traditional advantageous category at the Canton Fair, covering residential, commercial, and outdoor sub-sectors, and are key supporting products in the "building materials - home furnishing - engineering" entire supply chain. The significant increase in the total number of purchasers this time indicates an expansion of the associated purchasing groups, directly bringing an increase in demand for the lighting fixtures category. On the other hand, exhibitors' feedback confirms the rising demand. Many lighting fixture exhibitors (especially those specializing in intelligent lighting and green lighting) stated that the number of overseas buyers received at this exhibition, as well as the frequency of intention-based negotiations, were higher than those of the previous session. Among them, the proportion of buyers from core markets such as Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East increased, and the demand for cooperation shifted from a single product to "product + solution". This directly reflects the actual growth of lighting fixture buyers from the exhibitor side.
Meanwhile, the global market environment has also contributed to this trend - the European Green New Deal, the acceleration of infrastructure construction in Southeast Asia, the expansion of new energy projects in the Middle East, etc., have all driven the demand for energy-saving, outdoor engineering, and intelligent control lighting products. The Canton Fair, as the core platform for Chinese lighting enterprises to connect with the global market, has become a concentrated release area for overseas purchasing demands, further promoting the participation of lighting equipment purchasers.
